Jerusalem police on Monday arrested a 37-year-old Israeli suspected of vandalizing the bulletin board of Jerusalem's Gay and Lesbian center, police said.
The religious suspect, who is expected to be released on bail, has no previous police record.
Police have given conditional approval for this month's gay parade in the city, but said that the June 21 event is subject to restrictions based on the situation on the ground.
The annual local parade, which draws several thousand participants every year, has been the source of
repeated debate, with many religious city councilors and a not insignificant number of largely-traditional city residents considering such an event inappropriate for a "holy" city.
