Mazuz to meet IDF, Defense Ministry officials on Gaza power cuts

Attorney General Menahem Mazuz is scheduled to meet Monday with IDF and Defense Ministry representatives to work out a formula that will enable Israel to reduce the supply of services to the Gaza Strip without the move being defined as a "collective punishment." The meeting comes in the wake of a petition filed by several human rights groups to the High Court of Justice, demanding an injunction against the decision to disrupt electricity and fuel supplies to the Strip in response to incessant Kassam rocket fire. Deputy Supreme Court President Justice Eliezer Rivlin ordered the state to respond to the petition within five days.
