Meretz MK Yossi Beilin on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to resign immediately, following the state comptroller's recommendation to open a criminal investigation against the prime minister.
"Olmert must vacate his position for a prime minister who can be free to deal with the political and social challenges facing Israel today, and dedicate himself to taking care of the numerous corruption accusations leveled at him."
