Balad Chairman MK Azmi Bishara submitted his resignation from the Knesset on Sunday, the Al-Jazeera television station reported.
The Arab MK, who left Israel amid a police investigation into his foreign contacts and may face a jail sentence, announced his resignation via the Israeli Embassy in Egypt.
