MK Eldad: Block Israelis' access to Sinai due to terror threat

MK Arye Eldad (NU/NRP) on Wednesday called on the government to block Israelis' access to Sinai after the Counter-Terrorism Bureau issued a severe travel advisory warning of an "imminent" attack against Israelis vacationing there. "Instead of just calling on Israelis not to travel to Sinai and then having to deal with the casualties or abductees of a terror attack, police should set up a roadblock north of the Taba crossing to stop Israelis from approaching the border. He explained that in this manner Israel would avoid breaching agreements with Israel "while still protecting Israeli citizens from themselves."
