Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz accused Prime Minister Ariel Sharon Tuesday of working against Mofaz' candidacy for the Likud chairmanship.
Sharon, responding to Mofaz' demand for an addition to the current defense budget, had asked him if the plan was "political, military, or social." Mofaz called Sharon's comments "unprecedented."
Rumors were circulating that Mofaz was considering joining Sharon's Kadima party. Mofaz, however, denied them flatly, Israel Radio reported.
