Mofaz: Peace plan without road map 'irresponsible'

Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz called any plan that circumvents the road map peace plan "irresponsible and unbalanced," while speaking to high school students in Hod Hasharon on Friday. Mofaz was responding to Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni's idea about negotiating with the Palestinians now over provisional borders of a Palestinian state, but delaying implementation of that plan until the Palestinians dismantle the terrorist infrastructure. He said such a plan would "split the national and military interests of Israel." Mofaz also added that going around the road map would bring Israel to a dead end with the Palestinians for many years.
