Father crawls out of car to call for help after family car rolls into ravine near Ein Gedi.

A woman and her five-year-old daughter were killed when the car they were traveling in dipped into a ravine near Ein Gedi on Monday night. Three other people in the car at the time were also injured, two seriously, and one moderately.
IAF rescue teams airlifted the five to Hadassah-University Hospital in Mount Scopus, Jerusalem, where the woman was pronounced dead. Her daughter died from her injuries several hours later.
The driver of the car had managed to extract himself through the vehicle's shattered dashboard, climb out of the ravine, and call for help. The man was able to stop oncoming cars to alert drivers of his situation before collapsing on the road in moderate condition.
An initial investigation into the incident found that the family was planning to park the car close to the ravine in order to take a picture of the view. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and rolled 40 meters down the gorge before coming to a halt.
