Motorcyclist dies after crashing into barrier

A motorcyclist in his thirties was killed Saturday after he crashed into a traffic barrier in northern Israel. The accident occurred on Route 886 between Amirim and Shafer in the Galilee. A Magen David Adom team tried to resuscitate the man who was in critical condition upon its arrival but was forced to pronounce his death. Shortly before the incident, witnesses in northern Israel complained to police that they had seen a group of motorcyclists driving in a reckless manner and had estimated that the group was conducting a race. Police who had arrived at the scene warned motorcyclists that they had found to drive cautiously. Police later discovered that the man killed in the accident was connected to the group.
