The IDF's Nahal Haredi is in danger of closing, due to a recent decision by OC Manpower Maj.-Gen. Elazar Stern to establish a quota for the number of modern Orthodox permitted to serve in the brigade, Israel Radio reported.
Haredi Nahal was set up to offer a military service option appropriate for young Ultra-Orthodox men, whose lifestyle is incompatible with the service conditions in standard IDF units.
