MK Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to file a complaint to the Journalism Council later this week following an article in the Maariv daily which claimed that he was considering leaving political life.
Netanyahu's associates claimed the story was a lie, and that the newspaper did not ask for Netanyahu's comment before going to print on Friday, thus violating journalistic ethical rules, Army Radio reported.
Maariv reporter Ben Caspit, who wrote the story, replied that Netanyahu was not available for comment, and that his response was reminiscent of his behavior in other situations.
