Netanyahu to support unaltered national budget

Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday reportedly started acting in favor of passing the national budget unaltered. According to Army Radio, Shinui and a few Labor MKs also supported the move. Netanyahu, who was finance minister until he resigned in protest of the disengagement, quit his post shortly before the budget was brought to Knesset approval. Ehud Olmert, who was deputy prime minister at the time, as well as minister of industry, commerce, and trade, took over the vacated position.
