Nine people were evacuated to Haemek Hospital in Afula in light to moderate condition on Saturday afternoon following a four-car collision on Highway 66 near Moshav Hayogev.
Police reported that a car that attempted to overtake the vehicle ahead of it rammed into three other cars coming in the opposite direction.
Earlier, a teenager was killed and three others moderately injured after their car turned over on Highway 40 between Bilu Junction and Lod.
According to police, the driver, 23, had taken his father's car for the night. It was unclear what caused the car to veer off the road into a ditch, crushing a 17-year-old girl who was sitting in the back seat.
A rescue team declared her dead at the scene, and police took blood samples from the three survivors to determine whether they had been drinking.
On Friday, two boys aged six and seven were run over and seriously injured while crossing streets in Beersheba and Betar Illit, respectively. The children were evacuated to local hospitals for treatment.
Earlier Friday, a jeep struck a 60-year-old pedestrian who was crossing Ben Yehuda St. in Kfar Saba. The man died instantly.
According to Israel Radio, five people have been killed and over 1,000 injured in car accidents since the beginning of the year.
