NRP, National Union renew talks

The National Religious Party and the National Union have renewed talks regarding the possibility of running together on a joint list for the 17th Knesset. Talks between the two parties broke off at the start of the month when the National Union insisted it wanted both parties to register as one with the Knesset. The NRP balked at the condition, saying it would mean the end of its party. Low-level talks were resumed over the past few days after the right-wing public urged both parties to find a way to work together to maximize their political strength.
