An IAF officer was sentenced on Wednesday to two years in prison after he was convicted of illegally running an investment scheme in his army unit.
Under the terms of the plea bargain, the officer admitted to violating the income tax law, accepting goods under fraudulent pretences, running a business without permit and inappropriate demeanor.
The officer was also sentenced to 10 months on parole, a NIS 15,000 fine as well as a demotion and loss of his army benefits.
