An aid to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert revealed Tuesday that some two weeks ago Olmert approved the delivery of a certain amount of weaponry to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's Presidential guard in order to strengthen him, "so he could fulfill his obligations."
The official gave no details of the amount or type of weapons.
