Prime Minister Ehud Olmert left Sunday for Washington where he is to hold his first meeting as prime minister with US President George W. Bush.
The Iranian nuclear issue and Olmert's "convergence" plan to withdraw from parts of the West Bank are expected to top the agenda.
Olmert will also address Congress and meet Jewish leaders during his four-day trip to the US capital.
