Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert reiterated Tuesday night in an interview to Channel 2 that Israel was heading towards a "separation" from most of the Palestinian part of the West Bank.
While the acting prime minister refused to divulge his plans as to where Israel's permanent borders should be drawn, he said that the settlement blocs of Ariel, Gush Etzion, Ma'aleh Adumim, as well as the Jordan Valley, were "inseparable" parts of Israel and would remain part of the country in any permanent status agreement.
