Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with northern regional council heads on Tuesday evening in order to devise a governmental plan to rehabilitate the North.
The prime minister said the government would duplicate its offices, stationing branches in the North as well as in Jerusalem, in order to speed up the rehabilitation of the region.
Olmert also stressed that his main priority was making sure the school year opened on time in September. "We will put life back in order and move the North forward."
