A Hamas operative was killed Thursday by IDF tank fire in the southern Gaza Strip, Hamas sources and medical officials said.
Hamas reported that its fighter was trying to confront an IDF tank near the town of Al Fukhari, east of Khan Yunis, when he was hit. The army said it targeted a gunman from the air when he approached troops on the ground.
