Two Palestinian cousins were killed and a third was critically wounded on Wednesday in a blast in northern Gaza, a Palestinian health official said.
Witnesses said an IDF tank shell exploded near Beit Hanun.
The IDF confirmed that a tank fired a shell in the area, Army Radio reported.
Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Palestinian Health Ministry, amending his initial report of three dead, said 10-year-old Mahmoud Ghazal and his 12-year-old cousin Yehiya Ghazal were killed.
Their 10-year-old cousin Sara Ghazal was critically injured, he said.
