MK Shimon Peres met with Polish Foreign Minister Stephan Muller in Warsaw on Wednesday and claimed that there was no logic to the European Union's request that Israel transfer tax funds to a Hamas-led government that opposes peace, supports violence and does not adhere to international agreements.
Peres stressed however, that it was essential to find a way of transferring aid to the Palestinian people.
Muller promised to raise the issue to a delegation of EU foreign ministers set to convene in Bulgaria on Thursday.
