Peres to oppose budget if Negev funds not approved

Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres expressed strong opinions on Tuesday over the budgetary allowances for the development of the Negev.
In a conversation with Ramat Negev Regional Council Head Shmuel Rifman, Peres said that if the Negev budget were not approved, he would oppose the 2007 budget proposal, and even suggested he would quit the government over the issue.
