Petition to delay Likud vote rejected

A Likud internal court led by Judge Avigdor Mishali rejected on Wednesday the petition to delay the vote on restricting the powers of the Likud's central committee. Likud activists Aviad Visoli and Emanuel Weiser had asked Mishali to delay the meeting by a week because Likud chairman Binyamin Netanyahu violated a party bylaw enacted on December 12 requiring a two-week waiting period between the initial passage of a proposal in the party's law committee and its final passage in the central committee.
