Speaking in Jerusalem Monday evening, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced, "Israel has closed Gaza from the land and sea."
"The Palestinians must understand that Israel has never, nor will ever accept the current situation of terror attacks from Gaza," he said.
Regarding the Hamas demand on Israel to release prisoners in exchange for information about kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, Olmert said, "This is not a matter of negotiations, this is not a matter of bargaining."
