Bereaved families expressed rage Sunday night over Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's intention not to attend Monday's ceremony in memory of the soldiers who fell during the Second Lebanon War.
The Prime Minister's Office said that since Olmert's presence at remembrance ceremonies would require all attendees to undergo strict security checks, it was decided that the prime minister would not participate in specific ceremonies, apart from on the general Remembrance Day for fallen soldiers from all Israel's battles.
