A 25 year old Israeli man who robbed a Beit Shemesh bank Thursday was caught by police 'red handed' as he was changing his clothes at his home, police said.
The burglar entered a Bank Hapoalim branch in Beit Shemesh in the late-morning, and handed the teller a note reading 'Give me the money or I will shoot you,' Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said.
The teller gave the man NIS 16,000, and he fled the scene.
Police who were summoned to the bank were able to
locate the suspect based on a description provided by bank employees.
The money, however, was not found on the suspect.
