Police checking PA involvement in land-sale murder

Judea and Samaria Police were checking on Friday whether the Palestinian Authority was involved in the murder of east Jerusalem resident Muhammad Hijazi on Thursday in Jericho. A police investigation concluded that Hijazi was shot in the back and neck while he was tied up. After the murder, his car was set on fire. Police also said he was kidnapped from either Ramallah or Jericho. The murder was motivated by the alleged sale of a home in Jerusalem's A-Tur neighborhood to Jews. Hijazi's family, however, said that the house was sold two years earlier to a Jordanian citizen, and he was the one who sold the house to Israelis.
