Police keep Palestinians from Temple Mt. prayers

Police prevented hundreds of Palestinians from entering Jerusalem for the last Friday prayers of Ramadan at the a-Ram checkpoint on Friday morning. The police stopped the worshippers' travel to the Temple Mount due to the closure imposed on the West Bank following an increase in terror activities. After some of the Palestinians tried to break through the checkpoint, forces employed stun grenades to disperse the crowd, Army Radio reported. Security forces expected 150,000 people to participate in the prayers on Friday.
