Police question cabinet secretary under warning in Olmert probes

National Fraud Unit detectives on Monday questioned under warning Cabinet Secretary Oved Yehezkel, apparently as part of their corruption investigations against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Yehezkel was a close adviser to Olmert in various positions in which the prime minister served over the years. Israel Radio reported that the cabinet secretary was grilled on the Investment Center scandal - in which Olmert is suspected of participating in applications for government grants made by the clients of his close friend and former law partner Uri Messer - and allegations that Olmert made political appointments in the Business Authority while serving as minister of industry, trade and labor.
