Poll: 40% of former Labor voters left the party

A poll conducted by Labor's strategic staff found that 40% of those who voted for the party in 2003 did not intend to vote for it in the upcoming elections in March. The poll showed that three of the seats expected to be lost came from the elderly sector. Three additional Knesset seats have been lost in favor of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's Kadima party. On the other hand, Army Radio reported, many young voters were joining Labor, as were thousands of voters who previously cast their voices for Likud, Meretz, or Shas.
