Prior engagement cuts short Gaydamak interrogation

Russian-born billionaire Arkadi Gaydamak cut short his interrogation by police on Monday morning due to a previous engagement. Gaydamak was to be questioned under caution for allegedly granting the prime minister's bureau chief, Shula Zaken, a season pass to soccer games at Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium at a significant discount. However, the Betar Jerusalem owner, who was interrogated on Sunday for seven hours over an allegedly forged letter pertaining to him, told police that he had been asked to organize a large public event in the afternoon and would therefore need to leave early. Police granted Gaydamak's request and opted to continue the interrogation on Tuesday.
