Rabbi Kadouri ventilated and in critical condition

Kabbalistic sage Rabbi Yitzhak Kadouri was unstable and in critical condition at Jerusalem's Bikur Holim on Monday. Reputed to be 106 years old, the rabbi was admitted to the hospital with a severe case of pneumonia. His doctors attached him to a respirator and induced a coma with anesthesia. He is being treated in the internal medicine department's intensive care unit by Dr. Yosef Kleinman, who is also Kadouri's personal physician and head of the department. His second wife, who is half his age, is at his bedside, along with several children and grandchildren.
