Remand extended for Haifa-area man suspected of murdering mother

The Haifa Magistrate's Court on Tuesday extended the remand of a 36-year-old man suspected of murdering his mother.
The woman's body was found on Monday underneath their home. The man claimed his mother had committed suicide while he was in the bathroom.
However, police requested that he be held in custody until the results of an autopsy revealed whether she had been murdered.
