Remand extended for Ramat Gan shootout suspects

Two men suspected of involvement in Sunday's deadly shootout in Ramat Gan, were remanded for a further eight days on Monday afternoon. The two, Arad resident Amir Senkar and Eitan Grala from Ayash, are suspected of attempting to murder police officers and being linked to a criminal act. The two exercised their right to remain silent during their interrogation. In Sunday's gun battle, 21-year-old Avishai Belkar, an associate of the two suspects, was killed and police officer Ronen Almog was moderately wounded. Israel Radio reported Monday that Almog's condition had improved.
