Report: Schalit gets glasses from his parents

Kidnapped IDF Cpl. Gilad Schalit, who was snatched in a raid near the Kerem Shalom outpost on June 25, has received a pair of glasses from his parents, the newspaper A-Sinara, published in Nazareth, reported Friday. According to the report, the Egyptian delegation responsible for brokering a deal with Hamas for Schalit's release gave him the glasses - meant to replace the pair Schalit lost in the raid - during a visit two weeks ago. A spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees refused on Friday to either confirm or deny the report. Abu Majahid said that his group was refraining from releasing any information on Schalit or his whereabouts, as the Egyptian negotiators had requested.
