Palestinian witnesses reported on Thursday a loud explosion in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza.
It was not immediately clear what caused the explosion, but smoke was billowing in the air.
The IDF said Palestinians launched a home-made rocket in the area, causing no injuries.
According to other sources, several Palestinians were wounded when an IDF tank shell hit a family home.
