Right youths arrested for flyers against IDF cmdr.

Police arrested three youths Friday morning in Givat Shmuel, in whose possession they found flyers and placards with slogans slamming OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Yair Naveh, who lives in the town, police said. The slogans called on the town's residents to ostracize and expel Naveh - who was involved in the recent evacuations in the illegal Amona outpost - and his family. In recent days threats have significantly increased against police and IDF officers who participated in the evacuations, warned a senior police official Friday, Army Radio quoted. The three right-wing youths, who were from Alon Shvut, Efrat and Bnei Brak, were released on bail after being interrogated by police, on the condition that they stay away from the vicinity of their arrest and Naveh's home. A number of officers involved in the evacuations have been the target of right-wing extremists recently: Last week dozens of right-wing activists demonstrated across from Naveh's Givat Shmuel home and earlier this week arsonists set fire to a police commander's vehicle.
