Latin Patriarch Michel Sabah told French President Jaques Chirac on Monday that the Israel's security barrier was turning Palestinian villages into "prisons."
Five other patriarchs were present at the meeting, and Chirac said that their churches had always served as a link between Europe and the Middle East, Israel Radio reported.
