Saudi Arabia cancels economic embargo on Israel

In a move meant to pave the way for its entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), Saudi Arabia on Tuesday cancelled its economic embargo against Israel, a WTO member state. The Arab nation’s decision was the result of its renewed dialogue with the United States in order to gain acceptance into the organization. Under the bylaws of the WTO charter, no member nation may impose an economic embargo on another member state, Army Radio reported.
