Sderot Film Festival goes on as planned

The South Film Festival in Sderot, whose opening on Monday night was punctuated by the explosion of two Kassam rockets in the town, continued on Wednesday after two days of relative quiet in the area. "There was a lot of tension in the air on Monday, but it dissipated and the opening was a big success," festival director Avner Faingulernt told The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday. "There's a sense of sadness that this is the reality we live in, but we use cinema to talk about the things that weigh upon us."
