The High Court of Justice temporarily halted construction of the security barrier near a nature reserve in Gush Etzion in an order issued Thursday morning.
Local residents claimed that the construction encroached on the nature reserve itself and would prevent the development of settlements in the area. The High Court is set to review the issue in five days.
Earlier Thursday, hundreds of settlers protested the construction of the barrier.
