MK Silvan Shalom (Likud) did not exclude the possibility that his party would join a coalition with Kadima after the March 28 elections. It all depends on the governments platform, he stated.
Still, Shalom said, it was too early to be certain that Kadima would form the next government. He noted that if the right-wing unites, the president may assign Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu with the task of forming the 17th Knesset, Israel Radio reported.
On the other hand, Gideon Sa'ar, also from the Likud, called upon the nationalist camp to announce unequivocally that they would not join a coalition headed by Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
