Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's associates continued to try to convince Vice Premier Shimon Peres to join the newly-formed Kadima party, promising that a prominent place would be reserved for him in the movement.
A poll conducted by the Kadima party concluded that Peres would be an electoral asset, Israel Radio reported. Labor MK Shalom Simhon was reportedly another target for Kadima recruitment.
