Simhon: We cannot compensate Gush Katif farmers

Agriculture Minister Shalom Simhon conceded in Tuesday that his ministry did not have enough resources to compensate the Gush Katif farmers, who have been unemployed for the last year and a half. Israel Radio reported that more than 18 months ago Simhon guaranteed that within two weeks someone would be appointed to deal with the farmers of the Gush Katif settlements, but it was only late Tuesday that he announced the appointment of Danny Kritchman.
