Small Israeli force enters Gaza

A small Israeli force entered northern Gaza at daybreak Monday, but the military said it was a routine mission. Large Israeli forces have been gathering across from northern Gaza, ready for an order to invade and take over areas where militants fire rockets at Israeli towns. A small force of talks left the area of Mefalsim, an Israeli village just outside Gaza, and entered the Gaza Strip. The military said the mission, close to the border fence, was "to conduct pinpoint operations to find tunnels and explosive devices."
