Soccer player wounded in youth league match

A youth league soccer player was wounded on Saturday when he was attacked by fans of the rival team. Fans of the host team threw rocks at the Tiberias team's busses, after the former lost the match. Police officers arriving on the scene saw the broken windows, but were not informed of any injuries among the youth league players. After first being taken to Tiberias's Poriya Hospital suffering from serious head wounds, he was then transferred to Rambam Hospital in Haifa for continued treatment involving neurosurgery.
