Soldiers disobey orders to evacuate Hebron homes

Some 30 soldiers refused to take part in the evacuation of two Jewish families from the Hebron marketplace, Israel Radio revealed on Monday. The soldiers were meant to take part in the third-circle security which involves protecting police from the local Palestinian population during the evacuation. The evacuation itself is meant to be executed by police and Border Police troops. Some soldiers decided to disobey orders while about 10 soldiers were able to get sick leaves beforehand, in order to avoid taking part in the mission.
