Soldiers grilled for allegations of humiliating Palestinians, taking bribe

Military Police was investigating allegations that soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade battalion 890 humiliated Palestinians at a checkpoint near Nablus and took bribes from them, Israel Radio reported Wednesday. The soldiers allegedly kicked a cuffed Palestinian, made a young boy sing and dance and took jewelry and food from Palestinians who wished to cross the checkpoint. A soldier who complained on the incidents was forced to leave his company yet his commander was promoted, despite the fact that the event is viewed by Military Police as a "harsh" occurrence.
