State Attorney's Office, police to examine ways to disclose PM probe

Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz, State Attorney Moshe Lador and head of Israel Police's Investigations and Intelligence Division Cmdr. Yochanan Danino, said that they would examine how they could reveal information to the public about the latest investigation of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert without hindering the inquiry. "We are well aware of the public's need to get information and of the fact that the situation in which a prime minister is investigated without information being disclosed to the public raises both public and legal difficulties," read a statement issued by the three. "Nevertheless, it is absolutely vital that the investigation is not ruined."
